However, the increasing demand for 6 or 7-axis robots, while enhancing flexibility, also brings greater complexity in programming and optimization, leading to higher costs for engineering, onsite support, and reprogramming.

At Jacobi Robotics, we decided to leverage the benefits of the Jacobi robot programming platform to address these challenges and desing a new palletizing experience.

With Jacobi’s motion planning under the hood, engineers can configure palletizing patterns quickly without having to deal with the headache of complex robot programming, singularities, or collisions.

The Workflow

Load, Configure, Deploy!

Load Cell Model
Use the Jacobi Studio for defining collision geometry and guaranteeing collision-free motions around the palletizer cell. You can either load an existing model or create a new one by incorporating obstacle geometries within the Studio. After configuring the model, download it from Studio to integrate it into the palletizer application.
Configure Pattern
Jacobi's palletizer setup process is simple, intuitive and can be done completely remotely. Start by loading the palletizer project you've downloaded from the Jacobi Studio. Adjust box dimensions and label orientation as required, and configure the pallet pattern either manually or through the TOPS integration. Fine-tune motion parameters to suit your specific needs, and use the simulation to visualize the motions, allowing for precise cycle time estimation.
Palletize
Use the Jacobi HMI to control the palletizer, or create your customized HMI using the API. Keep an eye on the palletizer performance by accessing a comprehensive array of logged features in real time. Investigate run-time issues remotely and reduce travel for onsite support by replicating the robot state and motions.
